About

About Luke Hauser & Direct Action Luke Hauser (aka George Franklin aka…) is a longtime Bay Area activist, author, and musician. I am currently involved with a Bay Resistance pod in South Berkeley and help organize seasonal rituals and music recordings with the Reclaiming pagan community. The historical novel Direct Action grew out of several years of immersive organizing with Livermore Action Group, Vandenberg Action Coalition, and Central America support organizing around the Concord Naval Weapons Station. My favorite part is the photos. 300 of them. Since then I have been involved in local activism such as anti-war protests, People’s Park support, and the Occupy movement. Much of my organizing – including activism, seasonal rituals, and and family and youth camps – is with the Reclaiming pagan community. Check out their freebies page or email ReclaimingEastBay@gmail.com My books – novels, nonfiction, and chapter mysteries – are available as free PDF downloads, as well as print versions. Back issues of various pubs I’ve helped edit are available as free downloads: The BullSheet, Direct Action newspaper, GroundWork, and Reclaiming Quarterly. Music – I played with the Funky Nixons in the 1990s (the band continues to this day) – hear our music on all streaming sites. Since the mid-2010s, I have recorded pagan-activist music with Reclaiming, including an album of chants written by Starhawk.
